On March 13, 1997, the city of Phoenix was buzzing about strange lights in the sky. In the days that followed, the local news media was filled with reports of the lights, and the internet forums were filled with speculation. I took all the facts available and told people to not get overly excited, most likely it was something the military or government was experimenting on. I maintain that view to this day.
In an article dated 21 April, 2008 called “Strange Lights reported in North Valley Sky (by Erin Kozak, http://www.azcentral.com/community/northvalley/articles/2008/04/21/20080421abrk-strangelights0421.html), it appears our friends are back. It seems on the night of the 21st that numerous residents of the valley reported seeing strange red lights in the sky… and someone took video for it was on the news this morning. What are these lights? It is still unknown what the lights in 97 were. I remember the flak caused in the Phoenix area in March of 97 and how the national media did not pick up on the story until May of 97… well after the event quieted down in the Phoenix area. I can remember the report given on NBCs Today show and how they integrated the facts from 2 or 3 separate sightings or incidents in the Phoenix area. I can remember the revival of the failed Flare theory which was being pushed to explain away the events of the 13th of March. I expect similar reactions this time as well. So sit back, enjoy the ride with a smile. Whether you are a believer in UFOs and Alien visitation or a skeptic who thinks these lights are nothing but imagination.. we can all enjoy the media blitz that surely will come.
